A SPECIAL MESSAGE FROM
PROPHET H.E. AMB. RT. REV. BISHOP DR. JEROME FERNANDO
ON SRI LANKA'S 77TH INDEPENDENCE DAY

PROPHET H.E. AMB. RT. REV. BISHOP DR. JEROME FERNANDO

On this remarkable occasion of Sri Lanka’s 77th Independence Day, I extend my deepest congratulations to the beautiful nation of Sri Lanka. Today is a day of reflection, pride, and renewal as we remember the courage, sacrifice, and unity that led to our freedom.

As we celebrate this significant milestone, I am reminded that true independence is not just the freedom from external forces, but also the strength to rise above our divisions and unite as one people, under one flag. Sri Lanka is a land rich in diversity—home to various ethnicities, languages, and most beautifully, multiple religions. This diversity is our strength, and it is through mutual respect, understanding, and love for one another that we can create a nation that stands as a beacon of peace, unity, and prosperity.

As we move forward into the future, let us remember the timeless values of compassion, forgiveness, and respect that form the foundation of my Christian faith. We also reminisce on how Calvary bought freedom to the Christian through Christ's death and resurrection, and we pray that all of Sri Lanka experiences the same.

On this 77th Independence Day, may the spirit of unity and reconciliation shine brighter than ever before. May God bless Sri Lanka abundantly with peace, love, and enduring unity.

Happy 77th Independence Day, Sri Lanka!

With prayers and blessings,

Prophet H.E. Amb. Rt. Rev. Bishop Dr. Jerome Fernando
